2003: Clinical Research in Service of the Public Health - Health Services, Outcomes and Operational Research Abroad, Setting an Agenda for Action

Last year, Gay Men's Health Crisis organized a meeting of international researchers to prioritize the international health services, outcomes, and operational research questions around AIDS care, and to identify the methodologies needed to answer key questions and the institutions that should implement this research agenda.
Among the participants were representatives from the Africa Centre for Health and Population Studies - South Africa, Brown University, Columbia University, the Forum for Collaborative HIV Research, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the National Institute of Health - Office of AIDS Research, the Rockefeller Foundation, Treatment Action Group, Universidade Federal de Rio De Janeiro - Brazil, University of Cape Town, U.S. Agency for International Development, and the World Health Organization.
